AMELIA PLATJE
About me.
I am a fourth-year Landscape Architecture student at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. My passions through my studies have been focused on climate adaptive design and community-oriented projects which focus on weaving the past with the future through cultural narratives.
I am about to start my thesis Landscape Architecture. I aim to focus on developing a more defined scope of my interests and create a point of difference when it comes to my presentation output.
Personal objectives.
I am working towards being a Landscape Architect that can create spaces for the future for people and their community to thrive in. Weather this is within the residential field or a more urban context I want to explore the environmental and social changes we are facing and create innovative designs to be able to live with these and strengthen as a community. Climate change is a huge area within Landscape Architecture and it is a concern that motivates me for my future career. I want my work to be basis of change of how we look out our environment through physiological change and physical change. To motivate people to adapt and redefine how we live in the landscape.

Looking forward my thesis will be developed in relation to this interest of living with climate change. Adapting peoples habits by creating more sustainable methods to live.
