About me.
Graduate Landscape Architect with 2 years’ experience contributing to public realm, planting restoration, and ecological design projects from concept through to documentation. Interested in resilient landscapes, master-planning communities, planting design, and community-focused urban spaces.
I have completed my thesis which focussed on stream restoration and management over time through a connection to education facilities. Through this skills such as participatory design and landscape narrative design were utilised.
Personal objectives.
I am working towards being a Landscape Architect that can create spaces for the future for people and their community to thrive in. Weather this is within the residential field or a more urban context I want to explore the environmental and social changes we are facing and create innovative designs to be able to live with these and strengthen as a community. Climate change is a huge area within Landscape Architecture and it is a concern that motivates me for my future career. I want my work to be basis of change of how we look out our environment through physiological change and physical change. To motivate people to adapt and redefine how we live in the landscape.

Work Summary.

BHW Studio
Graduate Landscape Architect (Fixed term - full time)
After returning home due to a family member passing, I worked at a small boutique studio in Hamilton. Working on multiple projects including a 4.7 km greenway corridor, new water reservoirs for Hamilton and a destination playground for North Waikato.

Arcadia Landscape Architecture
- Graduate Landscape Architect (Full time)
After finishing my thesis I headed across to Brisbane to work as a graduate Landscape Architect. Work ranged from social housing to multi-sport precinct projects.

LOCAL Landscape Architecture Collective
During my 4th year I got the opportunity to work at Local Collective Landscape Architecture in Wellington. This involved assisting Landscape Architects in documentation and graphic plans and illustrations. As well as putting together documents for consent packages.

Academic tutor
From my last year of my Bachelor's through to my last year of my master's I was a teaching assistant for multiple course including Landscape History, Landscape Technology and Landscape design Studio's.

TerraFlora Landscaping
Alongside my summer research I am working at TerraFlora which has a focus on residential landscaping. This position looks at a more residential client base with a more design process behind the landscaping.

NUWAO Research Assistant
Currently I am working alongside Lucy Tupu and Victoria Chanse through research about Nature-based solutions specific to the Oceania context. The end result will be a developed Nature based solution guidebook for Oceania to be showcased at the 2023 NUWAO April Symposium.

Bark Landscapes - Government House
Alongside my second year of university I worked for Bark Landscapes at Government House in Newtown, Wellington. This gave me a lot of knowledge that could only been learnt having this in depth and hands on experience. It improved my plant knowledge alongside maintenance of sites in the long run.
